The strip of land between the Ocean and Table Mountain National Park is a very special place to live. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the village of Kalk Bay where we have quaint, good quality shops and restaurants.
There are lots of young families with children. The children love to meet at the beaches, pools, and Lever Street park. There are rock pools with little beaches all the way round the South Peninsula. Parents learn to ride the waves at Surfers Corner in Muizenberg and a few years later the young children join them. Danger Beach in St James is a popular surfing beach.
Most of the village is sheltered from the dominant South East wind in the summer. We have the lowest rainfall on the Cape Peninsula.
Two golf clubs are within 10 minutes drive. The Constantia Wine route is 15 minutes drive into Constantia. The train ride to Cape Town is 55 minutes. The drive to Simonstown is 20 minutes. Drive to the city in 30 minutes out of rush hour. Take the train to the Soccer World Cup Stadiums in Newlands and Green Point.
